Angelina Jolie Undergoes Double Masectomy

In a New York Times op-ed piece actress Angelina Jolie revealed that she underwent a preventive double masectomy. Earlier this year, she learned that she carried the BRCA1 gene mutation, which increases the risk of a woman getting breast or ovarian cancer.  The 37-year-old quietly went through three months of surgeries.
