Is there a charge to buy an item on this site?

No, using the site is 100% free for buyers.

If you wish to sell your designer items on our site, there are low listing fees. These fees help fund non-profit organizations dedicated to women's causes so when you buy on RunwayJunkie.com you help support these great non-profits too.

How do I buy an item on Runway Junkie?

Purchasing an item on Runway Junkie is easy. Just click the "Contact Seller" button on the product listing page and let the seller know you'd like to buy the item.

Please note, shipping is not included in the listing fee so make sure to discuss the cost, along with shipping and payment methods, with the seller before committing to buy an item.

We recommend to all sellers to ship the item to you within two (2) business days and to reply to your message with the shipping information once it has been shipped.

Does Runway Junkie facilitate payment or make shipping arrangements between the buyer and the seller?

No. Shipping and payment details are entirely up to the buyer and seller for each transaction. Runway Junkie is not involved in any transaction.

For arranging payments, PayPal and Google Checkout are recommended. Remember, it is not safe to give out financial information (bank account number, social security number, eBay/PayPal info, etc.) or to send wire transfers, money orders or cashier's checks.

The majority of users on Runway Junkie are well-intentioned but it is important to remember to take the necessary common sense precautions on our site as you would offline. Read more about avoiding scams below.

What if I forget my password?

In the login area go to the section titled 'Forget Your Password' Enter your email address and your password will be emailed to you.

What types of items are allowed on Runway Junkie?

Runway Junkie only allows users to list authentic designer merchandise for sale. These items must be owned by, and in the possession of, the person listing merchandise for sale. 

Users are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws, regulations or restrictions on items listed for sale, the manner of sale and payment or exchange, that may apply to any and all transactions in which they participate.

Safety Precautions

The overwhelming majority of Runway Junkie members are legitimate and well-intentioned. Your safety is important to us so here are some tips to avoid scams and remain safe:

• Be alert for sellers who ask you to pay using a method not mentioned in the listing. If a seller demands cash by wire transfer after you contact them, cancel the transaction and let Runway Junkie know.
• Sending money to pay for purchases through instant cash wire transfer services such as Western Union or MoneyGram is always risky, because you have no recourse if you don't get your item.
• Escrow services like Escrow.com release your money to the seller only when you receive your item. That's why we think escrow is a good way to complete your purchases. But beware of fake escrow companies on the Internet.
• Remember, when it comes to making payment, use an online payment service like PayPal or Google Checkout. DO NOT wire cash, send a money order or a cashier's check!

Buyers, don't be shy about asking the seller detailed questions about the item you're interested in, such as:
When did the seller acquire the item, and did they buy it new or used?
Is there proof that the item is authentic?
Are there any problems or imperfections with the item?
Has the item been altered in any way? (this is an especially good question to ask when buying dresses, pants and jeans)

Also, you should also know the following about the seller:
-Name
-Steet address
-Phone number
-Email address

Beware of Scams

Most scams involve one or more of the following:

• Inquiry from someone far away, often in another country. Runway Junkie is only intended for use in the United States.
• Western Union, Money Gram, cashier's check, money order, escrow service, or a "guarantee" of payment.
• Inability or refusal to answer questions about the item.
• Inability or refusal to use a trusted third-party payment system such as PayPal or Google Checkout.
• Inability to show proof of authenticity for item. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it is.

What if I can't reach the seller? 

First, give your seller enough time to get to your email and respond. If you don't hear back then we recommend trying them again. We recommend that sellers respond to requests within 48 hours and that they ship the item within two (2) business days.

If you still don't get a reply, please contact us with the title of the listing and url (copy and paste this from your browser when you click on the listing) so we can look into it further. Although we do not get involved in transactions between buyers and sellers, we do monitor our users and want only the most responsible sellers and buyers as users of the site.
